The borough's annual competition for amateur gardeners is back!
‘The Havering Fencing Company’
are pleased to announce they are sponsoring this much loved gardening competition again in 2010.
Entry is FREE
If you adore plants and flowers or think that you have a well presented floral display, why not give it a go? The competition is open to gardeners of all abilities and you can even nominate a garden that you consider to be visually stunning.
There are six categories to choose from and our judges look for imaginative use of flowers, shrubs and displays of horticultural excellence. Marks will be awarded for colour, condition and quality of plants as well as layout and overall impact.
Categories:
- Best Front Garden — A complete residential front garden
- Best Container Garden — The containers can be attached to the house, window sill or free-standing. No flowerbeds and no grass please.
- Best Public House — Best floral display
- Best Restaurant/Public Building — Best floral display
- Best Sheltered Housing/Residential Care Home — Best floral display Individual/Communal
- Best Collective Display — Floral displays maintained by a group of residents who share outside space in private accommodation
